This Term in Sapphire Class
This term our topic is ‘Through the Ages’ looking at British prehistory: The Stone Age, Bronze Age and Iron Age. Have a look at some weblinks below if you would like to learn more about our topic at home.
Stonehenge
Linked to our topic this term, our school trip was to Stonehenge.
We had an interactive tour of the stones, and a Stones and Bones Workshop. During this we recreated a burial and investigated replica artefacts.

We love Reading in Sapphire Class!
Our Class Book this term is Stig of the Dump where an adventurous 8 year old boy meets a Stone Age boy called Stig who lives in a dump.As well as our individual reading books, we have guided reading lessons every day and read throughout the curriculum.
PSHE
In PSHE our first topic is Being Me in my World. This is part of our Jigsaw course with a Jigsaw Piece and Paws for Thought Cat.
Science
In Science we are learning about the skeletal system and nutrition.
